A man’s body was discovered in a ditch in Panacea on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that read:
WCSO responded to reports of a deceased individual in the area of Alapaha Avenue in Panacea. Multiple deputies along with investigators and Florida Highway Patrol units responded to the scene.
WCSO does not typically comment on death investigations publicly unless there is a public safety need or the public’s assistance is needed with regards to the investigation.
Please know that the investigation has not revealed any evidence of foul play at this point and there is no continuing danger to the public at large.
