The Wakulla High School boys varsity soccer team is on a historic run to the regional finals on Wednesday.Wakulla entered the regional play offs seeded 8 out of 8. They beat the No. 1 ranked Bay High School which was heavily favored to go on to the state championship. Friday, the underdog War Eagles beat Bishop Kenny 2-0 to punch their ticket to the final against South Walton on Wednesday. Wakulla hasn’t been to the regional finals since 2015-16. If they win, they will move on to the Final Four for the state and it will be the farthest our soccer team has ever been in school history. This season has been a Cinderella story for the War Eagles as they’ve over come adversity after a heart-breaking loss in districts that almost knocked them out of the regional playoffs.
