Calendar of events for the week of January 22

Thursday, January 22

  • The Rotary Club of Wakulla County usually meets at the TSC Wakulla Center at 8:30 a.m. on Thursdays. This week members will be replacing banners at Azalea and Hudson parks.
  • Gentle Yoga and Stetching Class, every Thurday, 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Bring a mat. Come early to sign in. Chair Yoga participants welcome. $2 per class.
  • The VFW Auxiliary Bingo Night will be held at 7 p.m. at 475 Arran Road in Crawfordville, every Thursday. There are concessions and raffles.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Friday, January 23

  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at noon and 8 p.m. every Friday at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Saturday, January 24

  • Keep Wakulla County Beautiful River Cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at Upper Bridge on Shadeville Road at 9 a.m.
  • Wildlife, Heritage and Outdoors Festival will be held at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday, January 25

  • Wakulla Giving Hands holds a food giveaway every Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the facility across from Medart Elementary on Highway 98.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Monday, January 26

  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6 p.m. for women and 8 p.m. for men every Monday at 54 Ochlockonee St.
  • Gentle Yoga and Stetching Class, every Monday, 11 a.m. Wakulla Community Center. Bring a mat. Come early to sign in. Chair Yoga participants welcome. $2 per class.
  • Line Dancing Class is held at Wakulla Dance Academy every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. $5 per person. Wear dance shoes or tennis shoes.

Tuesday, January 27

  • Sopchoppy community dinner is held every week at the Towles House at 6:30 p.m.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Wednesday, January 28

  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at noon and 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Thursday, January 29

  • Empty Bowls fundraiser, to raise money for Wakulla Giving Hands, will be held at Wakulla High CTE wing from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 VIP, $25 general.
  • Clover Gala, a formal dinner and awards ceremony to benefit Wakulla 4-H, will be held at Wakulla Springs Lodge from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.
