Thanks to partners and volunteers who made Arbor Day a success

We thank our dedicated partners whose efforts and resources provided the trees given away at the 22nd annual Crawfordville Arbor Day Celebration: the Wakulla County Garden Club, the Florida Forest Service, the Sarracenia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS), and the National Wildlife Federation and its Florida affiliate.
Fifty terrific volunteers helped to conduct the festival on January 17th. They included Colleen Alcorn, Dianne Amburn, Fritz & Lucy Bertoch, Jeannie Brodhead, Sarah Chatman, Jack & Tess Coetzee, Rue Collins, James & Vicki Cooper, Mary Cortese, Margaret Davis, Mary Driscol, Claudia Farren, Raychel Gray, Anton & Marinell Hahna, Chris Hill, Katie Hook, Jiujing, Val LaHart, Gini Lawson, Dotty McPherson, Jenn & Rich McWilliams, Tonia Murray, Joy Neeves, Kris O’Neill, Pam Pafford, Marty Quinn, Ann Reams, Evelyn Reid, David Roddenberry, Joe & Rita Schuetz, Pennie Slaughter, Jaye Sousa, Betsy Smith, Trudy Thompson, Carlos & Christina Velasquez, George Weaver, and Dianna & Shannon Whitmore.
Those volunteering on Friday (not named above) include Michelle Hunter, Christine Kelsch[John Parks], and Julie Sabados.
We are deeply grateful for the generous door prize donations we received from Just Fruits & Exotics, Native Nurseries, Tallahassee Nurseries, and Ace Hardware. We appreciate the monetary and in-kind contributions from the Sarracenia Chapter of FNPS. Special thanks to Al Pasini for covering our Hudson Park rental fee again.
We thank Ernest Toole for entertaining us with music. The Wakulla County Parks Department and WCSO are always supportive as is The Wakulla Sun.
