In a joint effort, detectives of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office have successfully apprehended 48-year-old Charles Allen, the owner of Tallahassee Mobile RV Repair, following extensive investigations into fraudulent activities impacting multiple local citizens.
The 11 victims, ranging in ages, including some over 65, fell prey to Allen’s deceitful practices. Having engaged his services for RV repairs, these individuals made deposits and payments to Allen, only to discover that he failed to complete any of the promised repairs and refused to refund their money upon request.
On Thursday, Feb. 15th, the Leon sheriff’s office’s Financial Crimes detectives arrested Allen on charges including two counts of Larceny from Persons over 65 years of age, two counts of Grand Theft $750 or more, but less than $5,000, and four counts of Organized Scheme to Defraud $300 but less than $20,000.
The collaborative effort continued on Friday, Feb. 16, as Wakulla’s Criminal Investigations Division secured seven arrest warrants, charging Allen with seven counts of Grand Theft $750 or more, but less than $5,000.
On Monday, Feb. 19, Leon deputies arrested Allen on the warrants from Wakulla County. Subsequently, he was transferred into the custody of Wakulla County deputies to face charges in their jurisdiction.
