Two years after rejecting hiring foreign teachers, the Wakulla school board decided to go forward with interviews for foreign teachers for the 2025-26 school year for vacant teaching positions.

Valentine Festival, Parade is Saturday

The festival season kicks off on Saturday with the Rotary Club of Wakulla’s annual Valentine Festival and Parade.
The popular parade will kick off at 10 a.m. and follow the usual parade route from north of Azalea Park to near the Courthouse. Crawfordville Highway will be closed to traffic during the parade.
Festival vendors – including arts and crafts and food – will be set up in Hudson Park with entertainment in the pavilion.

4-H Clover Gala

The Wakulla County 4-H held its first-ever Clover Gala to honor it Volunteer of the Year, Amanda Gruebel, and Friend of 4-H, Keep Wakulla County Beautiful. The formal event featured dinner, dancing, and a silent auction at the historic Wakulla Springs Lodge. (Photo by Lynda Kinsey)
