Thursday, November 5

  • The Rotary Club of Wakulla County meets at the Wakulla Public Library at 8:30 a.m. \
  • Line dancing is 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Women’s Club. 6:30 to 8 for beginners. $10.
  • The VFW Auxiliary Bingo Night will be held at 7 p.m. at 475 Arran Road in Crawfordville, every Thursday. There are concessions and raffles.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Saturday, November 7

  • Veterans Day Parade and festival. Parade starts at 10 a.m. Afterwards, vendors will be in Hudson Park.
  • Monarch Butterfly Festival will be held at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Jubel Bissonnette Memorial Poker Run, a benefit for Big Bend Hospice, will start at Dux at 11:30 a.m.
  • Wakulla Community Theater presents “Blithe Spirit” at 3 and 7 p.m., and Nov. 8 at 3 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at wakullacommunitytheater.org.
  • Senior Center Barbecue Fundraiser will be held at the center from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

VETERANS DAY – Schools, banks, government offices and many businesses will closed in observance.

Wakulla County Garden Club will hold a dedication ceremony for a Blue Star Memorial Highway Marker at Wakulla Springs Baptist Church, 1391 Crawfordville Hwy., from 10 to 11 a.m. The actual star will be located near the Wawa on Whiddon Lake Road and will be unveiled at 11:45 a.m.
