FRIday, JUNE 12
- A citizen reported the theft of an air compressor from a D.R. Horton Construction Site located at Argonne Drive. He valued the compressor at $2,500. He wanted to report this for information and signed a Request for Non–Prosecution. There are no witnesses or video of this incident. Due to ongoing thefts from this construction site, this case is being forwarded to Criminal Investigations Division for follow up.
SATURday, JUNE 13
- Deputy Dustin Saba responded to Blue Dolphin Way and made contact with a citizen who stated she was following a vehicle when she observed a cell phone fall from the rear bumper. She was unable to prove any information on the vehicle, but turned the phone over to WCSO for safekeeping.
- A credit/debit card was discovered by the ATM machine at Centennial Bank. Deputies contacted a representative from the bank which deactivated the card. The card was shredded.
SUNday, JUNE 14
- Deputy Zachary Godwin, along with deputies Ian Kilbourn, Joshua Martin and Austin Rivers, made contact with a suspicious person behind Authentic Life Church. During the contact, the subject had paraphernalia in plain view. Upon a search of his personal property, he fled from deputies the and jumped into a pond. After deputies removed the subject from the pond, methamphetamine was located in his pocket. He was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
MONday, JUNE 15
- Deputy Bushong responded to the WCSO lobby in reference to a fraud. Contact was made with the reporting person who advised she received a text from her bank advising her of transactions that were made which resulted in a loss of $1,023.91. She disputed the transactions through the bank but needed a report for the investigation. She advised she did not wish to pursue charges and wanted this incident documented for informational purposes.
- Deputy Jonathan Kilbourn responded to the 400 block of Woodville Highway in reference to a citizen wanting to report an issue with receiving citations. He advised he began receiving citations in the mail from Hillsborough County for unpaid tolls. He advised he does not travel to that county and went to the DMV thinking this was a scam. After being informed the citations were legitimate, he became concerned. However, the DMV advised him the tag used was altered to make it appear as though it was his tag. He was advised to contact the local authorities in Hillsborough County to make a report. This report was documented for informational purposes.
TUESday, JUNE 16
- Deputy Kittrell and Deputy Bushong responded to the 2500 block of Crawfordville Highway in reference to a suspicious person. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated while preparing to depart, in his semi-truck in the parking lot of McIver’s Flooring, he was sitting in the cab of the truck with the driver’s door open. He advised a male in a camo shirt, shorts, and a hat grabbed his calf. He was very startled because the male appeared out of nowhere. He advised he then called law enforcement. An attempt to locate the subject was made but to no avail. He completed a non-prosecution for this incident.
- Deputy Bushong responded to the WCSO lobby in reference to lost property. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated while conducting personal errands in town, he lost his passport. He advised the passport was lost at Publix and only realized it when he returned home. He went back to Publix to look for the passport to no avail. He advised he needed a report to obtain a new passport.
- A citizen reported finding the back window of her vehicle shattered. She advised she noticed it as she was leaving for work. She advised she had no clue who would have shattered the glass. During the investigation, an attempt to locate footage from neighbors was made but yielded no results. Due to no video, witnesses, and no potential suspects, this incident was documented for informational purposes.
- Deputy J. Kilbourn responded to the 2500 block of Crawfordville Highway in reference to a criminal mischief. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated he had a work order for repairs to the tower generator. When he arrived, he noticed the fence was cut and parts of the structure were damaged and missing item components such as wires that allow the tower to work. While on scene, Deputy Kilbourn observed “putty” laying on the equipment which contained fingerprints. The putty was collected and submitted to property and evidence. He stated the total cost of repairs and missing items were approximately $3,500. Case forwarded to CID.
WEDNESday,
JUNE 17
- Walmart Asset Protection reported they had two subjects detained in their office. These subjects were observed skip scanning and exchanging tags without paying actual price, valued at approximately $100. Both were taken into custody and transported to the jail facility.
- Walmart Asset Protection reported a delayed theft. An unknown subject passed all points of sale with approximately $1,797.00 worth unpaid merchandise. Case forwarded to CID.
- Deputy Ian Kilbourn responded to the front lobby and made contact with a citizen who reported losing his iPhone 17 at Wakulla Springs.
THURSday, JUNE 18
- A citizen reported being scammed out of $2,000. She was told by the scammers to send four Amazon cards to an unknown subject, believing she had won money. Case forwarded to CID.
- Deputy I. Kilbourn responded to River Plantation Road in reference to a citizen reporting her iPhone 13 missing.
FRIday, JUNE 19
- Deputy Parker conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the vehicle not having a license plate displayed. Contact was made with the driver and informed the reason for the stop. During the stop, it was discovered that he had been stopped previously for no plate displayed. After discovering this information, he was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail without further incident.
