Girls golf team is district runner up
On Tuesday, October 29th, the Wakulla High School Girls Golf Team competed for the District Championship at Quail Heights Country Club in Lake City.
The team placed 2nd overall out of 8 teams, which advanced them to the Regional Finals the following week.
The girls were led by Senior McKenzie Anderson, who placed 5th overall and Sophomore Hadley Brown who placed 7th overall.
The Regional finals were held at the same course and the girls ended their season finishing 8th.
Although the team did not advance to the State tournament, the girls had their best score of the season. Senior McKenzie Anderson placed 15th out of 71 golfers, scoring an 82, her personal best.
Mackenzie has been a role model for her teammates and fierce competitor.
