Witches, witches everywhere.

Sue Scott teaches painting classes using the Bob Ross technique. She lends a little extra creativity with her classes by adding a fun theme, an evening of meeting new friends, being creative and just having some downtime and fun.
Remember Sassy Sue? Yes! that’s one and the same, Sue Scott, so if you know her ,you know that you are going to have a fun evening.
Friday evening, Oct. 25, being close to Halloween the class was called Tipsy Witches. Everyone dressed in their version of a witch’s costume and gathered at the Lodge at Wakulla Springs on the terrace. We first enjoyed some hors d’oeuvres and a bit of magic brew. Then we sat down for the instructions.
You are brought all the paints and brushes by her helpers and given step-by-step instructions.
The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Be sure to go with a friend so you can critisize their painting as much as they critique yours. A Halloween-themed trivia was played and I thought I had gotten at least five questions out of 10 correct but ended up only getting two. The person who won had five of her 10 right.
Also, you were entered into the Halloween costume contest. The person who won was Marti DeAngelis. She lives on the Wakulla River so she was a nature witch with a tall headdress she created from items she found: a tiny bird’s nest, mushrooms, grasses and a vein of green roots running down her face. Her face was green with a touch of blue and yellow. Very creative and a true work of art. We all agreed she was the winner.
Amber Norris, a new friend I made, said that when she was growing up a group of them would get together, dress as witches during Halloween and do a ride parade through town.
That sounded like a lot of fun and she is going to contact me next season so we can try to put that together.
It was frighteningly good time.
