Muscadines are a grape native to the southeastern United States, known for their unique flavor, sweet berries, and strong adaptation to the regionโ€™s hot, humid climate. Typically enjoyed fresh, they are also used for juice, jelly, and wine.
They are an excellent crop for commercial growers and hobbyist home vineyards.
As temperatures drop and daylight fades, muscadine vines across North Florida enter their winter dormancy.

Wakulla High Schoolโ€™s Theatre Department is bringing laughter to the stage this weekend with its production of โ€œCheck Please,โ€ the wildly popular 30 minute one-act comedy by Jonathan Rand. Known for its quick wit, eccentric characters, and fast-paced dialogue, โ€œCheck Pleaseโ€ follows two hopeful romanticsโ€”Guy and Girlโ€”as they navigate a series of hilariously disastrous blind dates.

Wakulla defeats Chiles in season opener

As the house lights went off, a lone spotlight shone in the center of the mat and the air began to pulsate with the sound of Metalllicaโ€™s โ€œEnter Sandman.โ€
With each riff of Kirk Hammettโ€™s guitar, anticipation grew and shouts of support from the crowd erupted, culminating with the 2025 Wakulla Wrestling Team emerging from a tunnel formed by the War Eagle Cheerleaders.
After the teamโ€™s brief warmup, the angelic voice of Miss Luna Martinez sweetly singing the โ€œStar Spangled Bannerโ€ was juxtaposed against the visual of battle hardened warriors from Wakulla and Chiles High who were faced off against one another on opposing sides of the mat.
