Northwest Florida First Responders awarded nearly $85,000 for critical lifesaving equipment

As first responders continue to serve the northwest Florida area, itโ€™s important that they remain properly equipped to handle all emergencies. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation recognized their need for new lifesaving equipment and recently awarded almost $85,000 in grant funding to Wakulla County Fire Rescue and City of Gretna Fire Rescue.

Attempted murder

73-year-old arrested trying to kill two relatives, stabs himself in the throat

Allison Hatton, 73, is charged with attempted murder.

On Sunday, Oct. 12, the Wakulla County Sheriffโ€™s Office arrested Allison Hatton, 73, for attempted murder.
On that day, a 69-year-old relative of Hatton was awakened by him repeatedly stabbing her in the chest and neck with a kitchen knife.
Hatton was interrupted by a second adult relative, who managed to get the knife away from him.
