The Regatta is back – April 25 -27 at Shell Point Beach.
For the past 51 years, the Stephen C. Smith Memorial Regatta (www.smithregatta.com) has been held at Shell Point Beach in southern Wakulla County for the benefit of the American Cancer Society in memory of Stephen Smith, a local sailor who died from a rare form of leukemia at the age of 29.

The 49th Annual Miss Wakulla County Scholarship Pageant is set for Saturday, April 26, at 3 p.m. in the Wakulla High School Auditorium. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and tickets will be available at the door for $10.

Wakulla wrestlers named All-Big Bend

On April 10th, the 2025 All Big Bend Wrestling Team was announced. Four Wakulla wrestlers joined the most elite in the area as they were named First Team All Big Bend: Emma Riggs, Kendal Haynie, Matthew Thaxton and Nate Jacobs were all First Team selections at their respective weights. Julia Baggett, Aaron Robinson, Austin Ryals, and Blake Barodte made the second team. Receiving honorable mention were: Patrick Cooksey, William Harvey, Caleb Thompson, Colt Sanders, Clayton Manzi, and Wyatt Brown.
