TALLAHASSEE – Special session season will soon be a reality in Florida.
Long awaited, the Senate on Friday published its bills for the non-congressional redistricting side of the session Gov. Ron DeSantis called, which begins on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the House and Senate went public a day earlier with plans to discuss the budget over three weeks in May.

Achievements/Reason for Nomination: Taylor Vause is a straight A student in Mrs. Temple’s 1st grade class at RES. She performs as a Level 5 in both math and reading. She has been the top reader with the most words read in her grade 2 months this school year. Taylor is a leader among her peers because of her intelligence, compassion and willingness to help her classmates as well as other students in the school. She enjoys taking dance classes. She also was recently chosen to display her artwork at the Wakulla High School Art Exhibit. She is dependable, funny, sweet and smart! And she deserves to be celebrated!

Wakulla Transportation will continue after Big Bend Transit withdraws bid

Wakulla Transportation will continue to provide ride services for local residents after Big Bend Transit withdrew its proposal.
Apalachee Regional Planning Council sent out an email on Thursday, April 16, alerting Wakulla Senior Citizens Director Lara Edwards, whose agency operates Wakulla Transportation, that Big Bend Transit had withdrawn and that ARPC would recommend Wakulla Transportation be awarded the contract.
