The doors of a newest Firestone Complete Auto Care tire and automotive service center in Crawfordville, opened with a grand opening weekend celebration from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4 welcoming all members of the community.

It’s been amost 40 years since Butch and Myra Jean Nutting opened Myra Jean’s. It started as a bakery with ice cream and sandwiches back in 1985.
Myra Jean recalled that people encouraged them to offer hamburgers – and the restaurant side eventually took over.

Our first issue came out in late February 2022.
We are going to celebrate that accomplishment next week, Thursday, May 15, at our office on the courthouse square from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Wakulla County Historical Society invites you to attend our program on Tuesday, May 13, 6 p.m. at the Wakulla County Public Library with featured speaker Helga Torbert. Her topic is “What Ever Shall I Wear” – a discussion of women’s clothing during the 1850s and 1860s.
