Wakulla 4-H held a Bark-tastic Halloween Costume Contest on Saturday at the livestock pavilion and 4-H Director Rachel Pienta announced the winner of Most Creative Costume were Christa Bingle and her dog Duncan dressed as a sea turtle and kelp.

The remarkable story of Nathan Donalson, born into slavery in 1840 before the Civil War near Fowlstown (now Donalsonville, Decatur County, GA), serves as a testament to resilience, Determination, and triumph over adversity. Now efforts are underway to honor his legacy and preserve the resting place of this inspiring ancestor and his family using modern technology.

On Oct. 3rd Wakulla High School Theatre took 33 students to Bay High School in Panama City for this year’s District One Thespian Competition. On Friday, 10 schools across the panhandle competed with one-act plays with WHS performing Annie the Musical.
