Pat Jones retires after 50 years with the school district:

‘Blessed’

Pat Jones, center, retired as transportation director for Wakulla County Schools the first of the year. She had worked under six superintendents in her 50-plus year career and gathered with the four surviving superintendents last week: William Payne, David Miller, Bobby Pearce and current Superintendent Rick Myhre.

“If people ask me to use one word to describe my career,” she said. “It would be ‘Blessed.’”
