In his first season as Head Coach, Nate Litowsky led the 2024-25 War Eagles to a 22-6 record in dual meets, including significant wins over Suwannee (42-5), Yulee (22-8), 3A Buchholz (14-4), and a pair of wins each over Florida High (8-6) and 3A Steinbrenner (28-4). Wakulla also qualified 6 wrestlers for the FHSAA State Tournament. Their accomplishments were remarkable, considering half of the team consisted of six underclassmen and one wrestler who had no prior wrestling experience.

The new facility is to be built on the community center property

A new Wakulla County Public Library is in the works. The facility will be built at the countyโs community center property at the corner of Shadeville Hwy. and Trice lane.
Groundbreaking for the new library is Monday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.

The Wakulla County Sheriffโs Office confirmed last week that human remains were found by a law enforcement officer with the state Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in the Apalachicola National Forest off Curtis Mills Road in the Sopchoppy area.
