UF/IFAS Extension Wakulla County is inviting residents, businesses, schools, civic groups and clubs to take part in the 2026 Peanut Butter Challenge, a monthlong effort that turns jars of peanut butter into practical help for neighbors facing food insecurity.

A finance workshop is being offered at Little Salem Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) will conduct aerial operations for feral swine management at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge from Tuesday, October 13, through Thursday, October 15, 2026. Operations will utilize a helicopter crew consisting of a certified pilot and a highly trained firearms expert.

The Tallahassee Serinas Artistic Swimming Team showcased their award-winning athleticism as they performed in the waters of Wakulla Springs on Saturday, an event hosted by the Friends of Wakulla Springs.
The athletes, ranging in age from 9 to 17 years old, included Baelynn Bixler, Elena Gelhardt, Elyse Gelhardt, Clara Hunter, Julia Hunter, Emma Rinehart, Jasper Brooks and Zoë Fisher.
