In Wakulla Community Theater’s upcoming production of, “9 To 5 – The Musical”, three very different women bond together to bring down their boss. The characters, Judy, Doralee, and Violet become like “sisters” as they fight the inequality women faced in the 1979 workplace. Becoming as sisters on stage is not far from everyday life. Emma Dykes (Violet) and Isabella Taff (Judy) are from the Wakulla High Class of 2024, where, as best friends, they excelled in the theater program. Then there is the connection between Isabella and Era Hudson (Doralee) – they are half-sisters! Era, too, enjoyed and shined on the WHS stage.
All three young ladies are experienced and naturals on the stage. The show dates are March 7, 8, 15, 16 and will be performed at the Old Historic Sopchoppy Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online at wakullacommunitytheater.org. (Special to The Sun)
