23 dogs seized in two incidents

Five seized at home off Ace High Stables; 18 seized from bus in Crawfordville

The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office and Wakulla Animal Control were involved in two different incidents last week in which a number of dogs were seized.
On Tuesday, Feb. 25, the sheriff’s office was alerted to possible abuse of dogs at a home on Walden Way, off Ace High Stables in a TikTok video also posted to Facebook.

Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday

Set your clocks forward one hour as Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m.
To stay ahead, move manually controlled clocks forward before heading to bed on Saturday night, March 8.
Your cell phone will take care of the time change itself.

A front page story last week about student chefs mixed up a couple of judges in the competition: Chef Jorge Sanchez is with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Irvin Morales is the manager of San Marco restaurant.
Additionally, a picture of one of the student chefs cooking misidentified the student. The student in the photo was Charlotte Forsythe – a photo of Lily Tirums is below.
