Seeking happiness, wisdom, direction, and truth for a blessed life? Wakulla author Chinesta Skipper Smith presents her latest book, “The Benefits of Obeying God’s Word” (published by Xlibris), which explores the transformative power of living according to God’s Word.
Drawing inspiration from the longest psalm in the Bible, Smith challenges readers to lead principled, disciplined lives anchored in Scripture. Here, she explains how the Word can become activated in believers’ lives through the Holy Spirit. The author’s aim is to inspire believers to fall in love with God’s Word and experience the many benefits promised through his redeeming grace. Through personal anecdotes and biblical examples, she shares insights on how to cultivate a lifelong relationship of devotion.
“Reading the Word is great, but if you want to read it for more than information, my book will uncover some of the benefits that can lead to transformation in your life,” says Smith. “The Word will lead to an intimate relationship with the author of the Bible.”
Smith has been a teacher of the Word since 2000. As a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University and Jacksonville Theological Seminary, her goal is to lead others to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She has lived in Florida with her husband and partner in Ministry for over 37 years, Elder Rodney N. Smith Sr. Her other publications include “A 40 Day Devotional of Truth & Grace with the Holy Spirit,” “A 40 Day Devotional of Prayer & Meditation with the Holy Spirit and “A 40 Day Devotional of Walking Worthy of Your Calling with the Holy Spirit.”
