TALLAHASSEE – State wildlife officials could allow oyster harvesting in part of Northwest Florida’s Apalachicola Bay, where the fishery collapsed more than a decade ago and continues to struggle to recover.

A deputy in the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office, part of the command staff, is claiming Sheriff Jared Miller fosters a hostile workplace environment.
Major Dale Evans, a longtime sheriff’s deputy who is over the office’s road patrol unit, filed a complaint against Sheriff Miller a couple of years ago – that was resolved, but he has filed new complaints about the office.
