After holding drive-thru backpack giveaways in the outlying communities – St. Marks, Panacea, and Sopchoppy – in the weeks leading up to the start of school, Be A Hero to Our Heroes held its big final giveaway on Saturday at the community center. There was heavy equipment that would be used in a natural disaster, like a hurricane, on display at Hudson Park on Saturday, along with emergency equipment such as a tanker fire truck.
