A. Many hours per week! Lawyers and judges read a lot for work. We must know the statutes and case law. I fill my work days reading, listening, thinking, writing, and talking.
I enjoy reading the law for my job. But beyond that, reading brings me immense personal pleasure and growth. Itโ€™s a joy to delve into several books on a historical figure or a topic until I exhaust my interest in the subject.

Jail gets body scanner

Wakulla County Sheriff Jared Miller recently directed the Wakulla County Sheriffโ€™s Office to purchase and implement advanced body scanning technology at the Wakulla County Detention Facility. The new system has now been fully installed and is operational.

The Wakulla wrestling team and their families gathered last Thursday night at Wakulla High School to celebrate a spectacular season. At the beginning of the year, expectations were high for an experienced, senior-laden team and fans were excited for what looked to be a promising season ahead. The team went 28-1 in dual meets this season and advanced to the semifinals of the FHSAA State Dual Tournament.

Screening of film focusing on menopause set for March 26

Crawfordville man faces federal charge of enticing minor

Anthony Wayne Lanier Jr., 33, of Crawfordville, was indicted by a federal grand jury charging him with one count of attempted enticement of a minor and one count of attempted transmission of obscene material. A Wakulla High School graduate and former student-athlete, Allen returns to his alma mater with coaching experience at both the high school and middle school levels. He holds a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Florida A&M University and is a certified Physical Education teacher.
