The festival season kicks off on Saturday with the Rotary Club of Wakullaโs annual Valentine Festival and Parade.
The popular parade will kick off at 10 a.m. and follow the usual parade route from north of Azalea Park to near the Courthouse. Crawfordville Highway will be closed to traffic during the parade.
Festival vendors โ including arts and crafts and food โ will be set up in Hudson Park with entertainment in the pavilion.

The Wakulla Legislative delegation will hold a meeting to discuss issues of local concern on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the county commission chambers at 2:30 p.m.
State Rep. Jason Shoaf, R-Port St. Joe, and Sen. Corey Simon, R-Tallahassee, will be available to discuss concerns for this yearโs legislative session, which starts March 3.

The story, which came from a press release from the U.S. Attorneyโs Office, which prosecuted the case, did not specify that Sedita Cayson, the Realtor, was charged with five counts of attempting to evade or defeat tax and five counts of willful failure to file return. Cayson was not found guilty of evading taxes, only of willful failure to file.
While the subheadline explained that โSedita Cayson failed to file income tax returns between 2017-2021,โ the main headline was incorrect.
