The Rotary Club of Wakulla, joined by Cone Distributing and local Realtors, took part in a bed build on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the sheriff’s maintence yard to build 25 bunk beds for kids who don’t have beds.

Rick Myhre has been acting as superintendent since he won the election back in August.
He said then, as superintendent-elect, that he felt it was still the term of Superintendent Bobby Pearce, who had stepped back to give Myhre a chance to begin implementing changes.

City water meters need replacement

St. Marks City Manager Katherine Gatewood reported to city commissioners this week that as many as 100 water meters need to be replaced – many of the meters are 20 or more years old and the software to track usage won’t work on them.
