County reportedly makes deal with McQuary

The businessman had complained the county was bullying him over issues at his RV park

About the time the Wakulla Sun was being sent to the printer last week with a story about local businessman David McQuary complaining about his treatment by the county, he had a meeting with County Administrator David Edwards and County Commissioner Ralph Thomas – and McQuary said the county officials made him a deal that took care of his concerns.

Crawfordville’s Palaver Tree Theater hosted a private screening of a short film titled “Galaxy Trolls” for the participants and the parents of the children who appeared in the film.
“Galaxy Trolls,” which screened Tuesday, Nov. 25, is a short bit of film that’s a sample of what the longer movie is supposed to look like.

Correction

  • A Public Notice that appeared in last week’s newpaper on Page 3 was the wrong advertisement and was submitted by county government in error.
    The ad was supposed to be about Dangerous Dogs and the Animal Control Appeal Board that will be on the county commission agenda at their meeting on Dec. 8.
    The ad that mistakenly ran was about a vote on the county charter that was held in March 2020.
    The corrrect Public Notice appeared the Tallahassee Democrat issue on Nov. 28.

State Rep. Jason Shoaf, R-Port St. Joe, joined the Florida House in 2019 after winning a special election and has been reelected three times.
