Circuit Judge Jeremiah Hawkes takes matter under advisement; sets trial for August

Former County Commissioner Mike Kemp was in court on Monday with his attorney arguing for dismissal of two felony charges of using a public record to harass and tampering with a witness.
The motion was heard by Circuit Court Judge Jeremiah Hawkes, who did not immediately rule, but gave Kemp’s attorney, Stephen Webster, and Wakulla Chief Prosecutor Andrew Deneen another day to file any last minute responses to matters.
