Christmas events pack the weekend

While the threat of bad weather led to the cancellation of last Saturday’s planned Christmas in Panacea, no such bad weather appears on the horizon this week.
That’s good news as there are a lot of Christmas-themed events coming up this week:
Robotics team prepares
The team will compete in a LEGO challenge this weekend

Wakulla STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), is preparing to compete in a FIRST LEGO League Challenge. The event will be held at the Maclay School in Tallahassee on Dec.13th.
Wakulla STEAM is a non-profit organization created by Tyson and Danielle Folsom of Crawfordville.
‘Check Please’ is set
Wakulla High School’s Theatre Department is bringing laughter to the stage this weekend with its production of “Check Please,” the wildly popular 30 minute one-act comedy by Jonathan Rand. Known for its quick wit, eccentric characters, and fast-paced dialogue, “Check Please” follows two hopeful romantics—Guy and Girl—as they navigate a series of hilariously disastrous blind dates.

The Wakulla County Historical Society held its annual open house event in its museum on both Friday, December 5, from 4-7pm and Saturday, December 6, from 1-4pm. The museum was formerly the county’s jail house located at 24 High Drive, in Crawfordville.

Despite cold rain and weather, a huge crowd turned out for the Florida Wildlife Mammal Association’s 7th annual Christmas for the Critters. The event was on Saturday, December 6th at Hudson Park.
125 beautiful native red cedar trees were available for decoration along with a huge variety of pre-decorated trees to choose from.
