Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday

Set your clocks forward one hour as Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m.
To stay ahead, move manually controlled clocks forward before heading to bed on Saturday night, March 8.
Your cell phone will take care of the time change itself.

A front page story last week about student chefs mixed up a couple of judges in the competition: Chef Jorge Sanchez is with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Irvin Morales is the manager of San Marco restaurant.
Additionally, a picture of one of the student chefs cooking misidentified the student. The student in the photo was Charlotte Forsythe – a photo of Lily Tirums is below.

Wakulla High School and Riversprings Middle School recently participated in the essay contest sponsored by the Coastal Optimist Club each year. The theme for the contest was “How Optimism Has Paved My Way to Success.”
