Lost boater found by FWC, Coast Guard

On Saturday night in Wakulla County, a boater’s family reported him overdue after he failed to return from the day’s fishing trip.
State Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers and the United States Coast Guard immediately sprang into action, searching by both water and air.

For one day this fall, the UF/IFAS Extension facility in Crawfordville will become a hands-on leadership lab where young people can test ideas, practice new skills and discover how their voices can strengthen their communities. The 2026 Big Bend Youth Leadership Summit will welcome all Wakulla County youth ages 11 to 18 on Oct. 12. Youth do not need to be 4-H members to participate.

But he still isn’t going to be at the forefront pushing the proposal to voters and believes his approach lawmakers modified was better.
