It was probably the most exciting four quarters of scoreless football you could watch.
Then, for the second week in a row, Wakulla went to double overtime โ€“ but this time, the Wakulla War Eagles came out on top, 13-7 for the win โ€“ and the crown as district champion.

Attempted murder

73-year-old arrested trying to kill two relatives, stabs himself in the throat

Allison Hatton, 73, is charged with attempted murder.

On Sunday, Oct. 12, the Wakulla County Sheriffโ€™s Office arrested Allison Hatton, 73, for attempted murder.
On that day, a 69-year-old relative of Hatton was awakened by him repeatedly stabbing her in the chest and neck with a kitchen knife.
Hatton was interrupted by a second adult relative, who managed to get the knife away from him.

DOG COSTUME CONTEST

Wakulla 4-H held a Bark-tastic Halloween Costume Contest on Saturday at the livestock pavilion and 4-H Director Rachel Pienta announced the winner of Most Creative Costume were Christa Bingle and her dog Duncan dressed as a sea turtle and kelp.
