Lawsuit filed against former city commissioner

Company that’s buying refinery site claims Richard Chichetti illegally trespassed at Gadsden facility, then defamed the company to city officials

A Gadsden-based company, CDS Manufacturing, has filed a lawsuit against former St. Marks City Commissioner Richard Chichetti claiming he and his wife went to the company’s Gretna facility and took photos – and then warned city officials of possible problems if the city went through with selling the old Seminole Refinery site to CDS.

Political forums set

The Wakulla Sun’s next candidate forum will be held on Tuesday, July 16, at the public library beginning at 6 p.m. for candidates for for superintendent of schools and the school board.
Another forum for county commission candidates will be held Tuesday, July 30, at the library at 6 p.m.

10 arrested at alleged drug house

Deputies arrested 10 people at an alleged drug house.

On Wednesday, July 3, Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and the Crime Suppression Unit, alongside investigators of the North Star Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Agents of Homeland Security Investigations executed a residential Search Warrant as part of “Operation Ice Storm” Phase One.
