The Wakulla Sun turns 3 years old this week

DโArcy Brazier, 77, of Crawfordville, passed away January 22, 2025 after a short illness.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. DโArcy moved to Crawfordville in 1974 and opened Down Home Foreign Car Repair. He was a master mechanic dedicated to serving and building lasting relationships with his customers.
He joined the Crawfordville Volunteer Fire Department in 1977. As a member of CVFD, he served as Assistant Chief and then Chief until 2013.
After retiring and closing Down Home Foreign Car Repair, DโArcy went to work at Shadeville Elementary as the Operation Foreman. His love of children and service to the community kept him there for another nine years before retiring in 2021.
DโArcy was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam War era.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan Brazier; three children, Ian Brazier (Kirsten), Erin McGonegle (Dan), and Matthew Brazier (Sara); three grandchildren, Penelope Brazier, Quinn McGonegle, and Jack McGonegle; and three siblings, Gail Norton, Lindy Brazier, and Stuart Brazier (Linda).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Brazier and Jean Brazier.
A celebration of life for DโArcy will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Culleyโs MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee FL 32308.
The family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to Florida Wild Mammal Association.
Culleyโs Meadowwood Funeral Homes and Cemetery in Tallahassee is in charge of the arrangements.
