Correction

A front page story last week headlined โ€œLocal Realtor found guilty of tax evasionโ€ was not correct. The story, which came from a press release from the U.S. Attorneyโ€™s Office, which prosecuted the case, did not specify that Sedita Cayson, the Realtor, was charged with five counts of attempting to evade or defeat tax and five counts of willful failure to file return. Cayson was not found guilty of evading taxes, only of willful failure to file.
While the subheadline explained that โ€œSedita Cayson failed to file income tax returns between 2017-2021,โ€ the main headline was incorrect.
We regret the error.
