Wakulla County Commissioner Mike Kemp was arrested Friday and charged with cyberbullying and obstruction for his role in trying to release the name of a person he believed was behind a Facebook account that had put up posts critical of him.

Wakulla County Tax Collector Lisa Craze was honored to receive the Legacy Award for excellence in financial operations from the Florida Tax Collectors Association (FTCA) at their annual Fall Education Forum held this week in Orlando. The award is one of the highest honors a Florida tax collector can receive from the FTCA.

TALLAHASSEE – August came to a close with Gov. Ron DeSantis trying to douse a growing uproar about adding amenities such as golf to award-winning state parks.
The week ended as animosity between the governor’s office and Rep. Randy Fine, a Brevard County Republican, continued to simmer over DeSantis’ recent trip to Ireland.
Girls Golf Team Wins

The Wakulla High School Girls Golf team defeated North Bay Haven and Marianna in their season opener on August 27th in Marianna.
Wakulla finished in first place as a team with a 224 overall score, with North Bay Haven placing second with a score of 241.
McKenzie Anderson was the indivicual champion with a score of 46.
