Taylor Pierini of Crawfordville has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List. The spring terms run from January to May.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List.

Wakulla County property values increased some 9.54% over last year, according to Property Appraiser Donnie Sparkman
Sparkman released the preliminary numbers in a memo to county commissioners dated June 1.
The total estimated value of Wakulla property as of June 1 is $2.50 billion, an increase over last year’s $2.28 billion – an increase in value of more than $220 million over the year.

The Sopchoppy City Commission heard concerns that the wildflowers, native plants and foliage in the Depot Park are looking “ragged” while wisteria and honeysuckle vines are growing too large and heavy with the potential to bend and disfigure the $12,000 decorative fence surrounding the park. Wasps’ nests within the flowering vines on the pavilion columns were also mentioned are a concern for safety.
