In the Retreat at Wakulla, a new subdivision under construction off of Martin Luther King Memorial Boulevard, a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) has taken a stand against development company D.R. Horton’s method of clear-cutting lots.

Celebrating Black History this weekend

The Wakulla County Christian Coalition is hosting three events for this weekend’s African American Heritage Celebration.
The first event is the Arthur Lee Andrews Scholarship Gala “Celebrating Acheivers in Medicine” at the community center on Friday, followed by a Parade in Hudson Park on Saturday, and a Read-in at Palaver Tree Theater on Sunday. See the calendar in “On the Horizon” for more details.

4-H visits the Capitol to learn about legislative process

4-H’ers who visited the Capitol included Bonnie Christal, Jenniffer Masters, Vanessa Elderkin, Caden Gruebel, Jace Perez, Helena Skipper, Ryder Tapp, Gentry Turner, Lakelyn Turner, Mason Turner, Cory Wilson, Ellianna Wilson.
